There is nothing I enjoy more than supplying interactive artists for our clients. The reason is that they breath life into every event – which I know means that I am guaranteed positive feedback from my clients after the event and this leads to referals and re-bookings :).
So what is an ‘interactive’?
“A skilled performer who normally wears an amazing costume (or two), who demonstrates amazing skills and provides meet and greet sets, mix and mingle walkabout entertainment, unique photo opportunities and sometimes rounds off the event with a stage show.”
An example video showing some of our ‘interactives’:
Interactive performers cover the following: Fire performance, stilt walking, juggling, spoof paparazzi, human statues, ‘foot’ costume characters, walking decor, flash mob entertainment, glow performance, feather showgirls and angle grinding.
Highly skilled performers are also popular with clients and these include: close up magicians, caricaturists, contortionists, origami, aerialists, human tables, singing waiters, walkabout jazz players, pickpockets, murder mystery actors, fortune tellers, acrobats, DJs, roller skaters, face painters, temporary tattoo glitter artists, CO2 (gas plumes) etc..
Below are a few of the crazy characters which have been demanded by clients in the last couple of years:
STILTWALKERS
- Clients usually book our interactives to provide at least 90 minutes of entertainment, with the performers dividing this time into at least 3 sets.
- Sets will usually last around 30 minutes for meet & greet or walkabout performance and stage shows are high impact so are generally between 7 – 15 minutes (but can be extended if necessary).
- Sets are usually spread out across a 3/4 hour period.
- The price also includes 1 x costume change per artist per event.
- Sets can be adjusted to your requirements – we enjoy taking feedback from our clients and we then gear our performances to each client’s spec.

CASE STUDY By Roop, head of Doub7e Seven Events
The Sheffield City Hall hosts a lot of corporate Christmas Parties. One particular party needed a ‘meet and greet entertainer’ to stand outside the doors as a fire eater. Once seated for dinner, the client wanted an entertainer to wear a fabulous costume and juggle around the tables – providing unique photo opportunities for guests. A cabaret artist was also required to entertain guests with a stunning ‘glow show’ at the end of the meal, before the disco kicked in.
I was proud to supply an entertainer who was brilliant at all 3 of the above elements – ‘meet and greet’, ‘walkabout’ and ‘stage show’. To ensure everything ran like clock work, I was the event manager at the event and ran the disco after the cabaret.
Take a look at this video of the ‘finale’ of the stage show (video also shows some of the lighting effects in my disco):
STAGE SHOWS
– Grind & Dance (angle grinding)
– Aerialists
– Robots
– Can Can & other traditional dance routines
– CO2 [harless] gas plumes
– Street & break dance
– Acts from TV e.g. BGT & Got To Dance
